Treetop Walkway

The first treetop walkway in the Czech Republic offers visitors a unique combination of experiences. On the 675-meter-long path, you will find a unique view from a 40-meter tower as well as many adventurous experiences. All this makes the walkway an ideal destination for a trip. Thanks to its barrier-free construction, the path is suitable for all visitors.

Vítkův Hrádek Castle Ruins

The ruins of the highest-situated castle in Bohemia are located in the Svatotomášské Mountains near the old state border at an altitude of 1,053 meters. The castle ruins are structurally secured, and the built observation platform offers visitors one of the most beautiful views of the entire Lipno region.

Lipno Bobsleigh Track

The bobsleigh track in Lipno nad Vltavou ranks among the world's best due to its length (1 km) and diversity (21 turns, 2 tunnels, and terrain breaks). You ride down a stainless steel trough on special sleds where you control the speed yourself. Parents with children can ride from age 3; from age 8 to 100, you can ride alone or in pairs.

Frymburk Shooting Range

If you are looking for a place where you can actively relax, get a firearms license, or just shoot real weapons, visit the shooting range in Frymburk. With the participation of an experienced instructor, you can try shooting a submachine gun, pistol, shotgun, small-bore rifle, and other weapons.

Arena Gokart Frymburk

The longest go-kart track in the Lipno region, open annually, is located directly in Frymburk. There are 8 Matter go-karts with Honda 200cc engines (5.5 HP), a top speed of 60 km/h, and a children's MS Kart racing go-kart (Honda 50cc engine).

Frymburk Aquapark and Wellness

The Lipno region offers very favorable conditions for cycling. The new lakeside cycle path runs directly around the lake and is also ideal for in-line skates. From Frymburk, you can ride a pleasant loop around the dam and return by ferry in a single day. Many routes will lead you to the best monuments in the area.

Schwarzenberg Shipping Canal

The largest technical monument in the Šumava region with a length of 44 km. It begins near the Rosenauer Reservoir monument and ends in Austria, connecting the Vltava and Danube basins. Originally, the canal was designed for floating log wood from inaccessible parts of Šumava all the way to Vienna.

Plešné Lake and Plechý

Plešné Lake is located on the slope of Mount Plechý (1,378 m) at an altitude of 1,089 m and is of glacial origin. On the cliff above the lake, a monument to the writer Adalbert Stifter stands along the yellow hiking trail. At the northern edge, there is a unique stone sea made of granite boulders.

Moldaublick Lookout Tower

Moldaublick is a lookout tower on the Austrian mountain Sulzberg, just 1 km from the state border near Zadní Zvonková. It offers a breathtaking view of the Czech side – directly onto the Lipno Reservoir. The metal tower is 24 meters high with 137 steps. Hiking trails lead to the tower.

Alpenblick Lookout Tower

Standing on the southern slope of Mount Sulzberg at an altitude of 1,000 m. It was built exclusively from local fir trees and represents a masterpiece of modern wooden architecture. From the viewpoint, just 4 km from the Zadní Zvonková border crossing, you will enjoy a wonderful view of the surroundings.

Steamboat Sightseeing Cruises

Discover the beauty of Šumava from the deck of a ship. Excursion ships depart from Lipno nad Vltavou and Frymburk. During the cruise, you will hear many interesting facts about the lake. On the new ship Adalbert Stifter, evening sunset cruises with music, dinner, and specialty tastings are also organized.

Vltava Canoeing and Rafting

A beautiful river winding through Šumava forests. The starting station for the descent is at the upper part of the stream (Soumarský most) or below Lipno in Vyšší Brod. Canoes, rafts, and all equipment are available for rent in many Lipno rental shops. A unique experience is the descent through the historic center of Český Krumlov.

Vyšší Brod

The town of Vyšší Brod is definitely worth a visit. You should not miss the Vyšší Brod Monastery with its stunning library of over 70,000 volumes, the postal museum, and along the way, the breathtaking Devil's Wall (Čertova stěna) and Luč nature reserves.

Rožmberk nad Vltavou

Located in the picturesque Vltava valley, 10 km from the Austrian border. Rožmberk Castle from the mid-13th century is one of the oldest castles of the Vítkovci family. Untouched nature, a beautiful section of the Vltava River, and the historical background of the village are great attractions for tourists from all over the world.

Český Krumlov

The historic town registered on the UNESCO list is located just 30 km from our hotel. In addition to the famous castle and chateau, it offers other cultural gems such as the world-unique revolving auditorium, the wax museum, or the center dedicated to the painter Egon Schiele.

Frymburk Museum

The mission of the Frymburk Museum is to collect historical items and artifacts from the territory of the former Frymburk parish. They systematically deal with the preservation and presentation of everything interesting, including rare exhibits practically lost under the water of the nearby Lipno Dam.

Adalbert Stifter Museum

The Adalbert Stifter monument is located in the birthplace of this famous writer. The house itself is listed as a state-protected monument. On the ground floor, you will find a permanent memorial exhibition titled "Adalbert Stifter and his Native Land."

Lipno Ice Highway

The natural skating track on frozen Lipno is among the longest in the world, measuring over 10 kilometers and connecting the villages of Frymburk, Přední Výtoň, and Lipno nad Vltavou. The track is maintained when the ice thickness reaches 18 cm, at an amazing width of eight meters with a separate lane for pedestrians.
